About NUWAY University Counseling Center

This comprehensive outpatient program (COP) addresses substance abuse issues and related mental health challenges with a focus on evidence-based practices and trauma-sensitive methods. NUWAY University Counseling Center is a program accredited by the Joint Commission, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-Step facilitation, motivational interviewing, and prolonged exposure therapy as part of its therapeutic strategy. Clients engage in 20 sessions of co-occurring therapy weekly, enjoy healthy snacks throughout the day, and have access to peer support services among other resources. NUWAY University Counseling Center also offers gender-specific groups and is committed to being a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community.
