About Minnesota Recovery Connection

Minnesota Recovery Connection (MRC) is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) committed to helping people, families, and communities impacted by substance use disorders. While traditional treatment organizations primarily deliver clinical care, MRC works to close gaps by linking individuals with the support resources they need to sustain recovery over time. MRC provides several peer-based services, such as individualized coaching, phone-based recovery support, and recovery navigation. In addition, the organization engages in public education and advocacy to strengthen awareness and acceptance of recovery. Programs like the Recovery Coach Academy and the Harm Reduction Pathway training help participants gain practical skills to better support others throughout their recovery process. A key difference of MRC is its focus on recognizing and respecting every route to recovery, guided by leaders with lived experience. This peer-driven model makes the help more understanding and easier to connect with, while still being responsive to each person’s specific situation. By strengthening recovery capital in individuals and communities, MRC helps make long-term recovery achievable and more likely.
