About PrairieCare

This outpatient clinic is part of a statewide network of mental health treatment services in Minnesota. The Brooklyn Park location offers outpatient care for young people and adults age 11 and older. Services at this site include intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for children and adolescents, as well as intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adults.

At PrairieCare, every person who enrolls completes a diagnostic evaluation to support appropriate care. While in treatment, clients may receive psychiatric services, individual counseling, and family therapy. Programming focuses on building practical skills such as collaborative problem-solving, self-regulation, and managing symptoms. Clients may also participate in spiritual care options through psychoeducational groups that cover a range of perspectives. Program duration typically ranges from 3 to 12 weeks, depending on each client’s progress.
