About P.E.A.S.E Academy
P.E.A.S.E. Academy, founded in February 1989, is the oldest recovery high school in the country. It serves students in grades 8–12 in a caring setting that blends strong academics with recovery-focused services. The school is based at the University Lutheran Church of Hope in Minneapolis and offers Unlimited Transit Passes, making local bus travel easy, along with parking on site. P.E.A.S.E. Academy supports students through a well-rounded approach to well-being. It provides a rigorous yet supportive learning environment, including small classes to promote individual attention. Recovery resources are built into everyday school life through peer support teams, all-school check-in circles, counseling with licensed alcohol and drug professionals, and sober events. As a tuition-free charter school, P.E.A.S.E. helps ensure students in recovery can access a high-quality education.
