About Our Hope Association

Our Hope in Grand Rapids, Michigan, offers a full range of services for women who are working to recover from substance use disorders. The withdrawal management program provides round-the-clock medical oversight and customized treatment plans, allowing participants to detox safely in a steady, supportive setting. The focus is on helping women end physical dependence on drugs and alcohol while maintaining medical stability and promoting self-care throughout the detox process.

Following withdrawal management, the center’s 90-day residential treatment program delivers structured, immersive support for recovery. In a comfortable, home-like environment, women receive intensive therapeutic services that include both individual and group therapy, along with opportunities for community living. The program emphasizes building healthy daily habits, strengthening coping skills, and creating healthy, supportive connections that support long-term recovery. Using a person-centered approach, the staff incorporates trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing to help clients address past experiences and develop resilience and renewed hope.

Our Hope in Grand Rapids also provides a continuum of care for women affected by substance use disorders, with particular attention to pregnant and parenting women, as well as those engaged with child protective services. The newly opened Walker Avenue Home includes trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing, supporting physical, spiritual, and social wellbeing. Housing is available across levels of care, from detox through long-term residential treatment, with shared and private rooms, chef-prepared meals, access to a workout space, and a sensory room.
