About Advanced Rapid Detox

Advanced Rapid Detox (ARD) focuses on a fast detoxification method designed to lessen withdrawal symptoms. During this process, patients receive IV sedation, so they can rest through the most uncomfortable phase while a physician provides medications that help counteract the impact of opiates on the brain’s receptors. By doing so, ARD enables clients to bypass much of the intense discomfort usually associated with stopping abruptly. Once the detox is finished, clients are transferred to private rooms for their first Vivitrol injection, which works as an opiate-blocking treatment to help decrease cravings. While at ARD, clients are cared for around the clock by a team of experienced medical professionals trained specifically in opiate detox. Staff continually assess patients to support a safe and stable recovery. After a day of recovery, clients have a final meeting with the doctor to review aftercare options, after which they may return home or move to another appropriate level of care. People who attend ARD are also eligible for the center’s detox-related aftercare program.
