About Nulife Recovery Services Inc

NuLife Behavioral Health provides individualized outpatient care using a range of programs, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient services, and standard outpatient therapy. Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, the center uses research-informed, whole-person approaches with gender-specific programming to support adults dealing with substance use issues alongside mental health conditions.

NuLife Worcester functions as a dual-diagnosis program, delivering coordinated treatment for both men and women who are managing addiction and related mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. Treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), biofeedback, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), alongside other holistic and experiential strategies, all tailored to each person’s needs.

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) serves as a middle option between inpatient/residential care and traditional outpatient treatment. It is well suited for individuals who want thorough substance use treatment but do not require 24/7 medical supervision. In PHP, participants attend programming five days a week for about seven hours each day, which supports consistent treatment while still allowing them to continue parts of their regular life. The schedule typically includes groups focused on life skills, stress reduction, and emotional regulation, along with group sessions, therapeutic activities, and opportunities for individual and family counseling.

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) follows PHP and is designed to help people keep building on what they learned while developing greater independence. IOP provides additional flexibility so clients can receive clinical support without significantly disrupting work, school, or home responsibilities. Participants receive ongoing clinical guidance, educational materials, aftercare resources, and a supportive peer community. Experienced clinicians develop personalized treatment plans and track progress through frequent check-ins, adjusting goals and interventions as needed based on how each client responds. Most people complete IOP in about 6–12 weeks, depending on their progress and the level of care recommended for them.
