About Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities Crozier House in Worcester, Massachusetts assists adult men in overcoming substance use through a well-organized residential program. Operating since 1971, it offers a voluntary, structured community where men who want sobriety can commit to discipline and accountability. The program prepares participants to move into sober housing or to live independently, which is a recognized pathway for recovery.
The center’s method focuses on personal responsibility alongside teamwork within the community. Men regularly meet each week with a counselor, attend scheduled on-site meetings, and go to 5–7 AA/NA meetings. With a stable routine and dependable support, residents strengthen their recovery foundation and build meaningful connections with others in the program.
Crozier House also asks residents to submit weekly reports, secure work or complete volunteer hours, and take part in recovery-related activities. In addition, they work toward goals related to legal matters, health, family responsibilities, and career planning. A broader, holistic focus—supported by required chores and a firm curfew—encourages discipline and helps residents transition more confidently to life after treatment.
