About Bloom A Place for Girls

A Place for Girls is located on a warm, home-like campus in Cape Cod and serves teen girls ages 12 to 17, along with their families, through its Adult & Teen Challenge program. The center helps address substance use, emotional struggles, and co-occurring challenges. Participants can take part in a 3–5 month faith-based residential program designed to offer a safe environment where young women can gain support, build hope, and develop independence. Each teen receives individualized care and support through Biblical Counseling, Christian teaching, and compassionate supervision available around the clock.

Unlike many other facilities, A Place for Girls exists specifically to protect the health and wellbeing of adolescent girls who are facing difficult situations. It is one of only two short-term residential treatment programs in the country that concentrates entirely on the specific concerns many modern teenage girls experience. Graduates come away with a stronger sense of identity, renewed enthusiasm for life, practical skills they can use going forward, and a powerful feeling of healing and being truly blessed. The program is built to encourage personal growth from within.

Common concerns may include drug use, alcoholism, cutting, running away, anger, stealing, vandalism, and other risky or disruptive behaviors, often connected to depression, anxiety, mental health challenges, emotional difficulties, and other life-controlling issues. Through group therapy and structured support, A Place for Girls helps adolescent girls work through these problems and move toward healthier coping and decision-making.

A Place for Girls also emphasizes the value of meaningful time outdoors to strengthen connection—with the world, with daily life, and with The Lord. As a Christian, faith-based organization, it provides biblical guidance and counseling. Girls participate in classroom learning that follows a foundational Christian curriculum through the New Testament Christian School Homeschool program, along with individual, group, and family counseling delivered by their Biblical Counselor.
