About The Renfrew Center Baltimore

Renfrew is an outpatient eating disorder treatment center created to feel welcoming and supportive for adolescent girls, women, transgender women, and non-binary individuals. The center delivers evidence-based treatment to those seeking help and to their families. Its day program is designed for clients who are transitioning from residential treatment or who need a program that is both flexible and structured. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) serves individuals who require a higher level of care than standard outpatient services, while the outpatient program offers weekly support through individual, family, and group therapy.

The day treatment program runs five days each week and combines group and individual therapy, medication management, psychiatric evaluations, two meals per day plus snacks, nutrition therapy, expressive therapies, and psychoeducation. The IOP meets three times per week and includes nutrition consultation, group therapy, psychiatric services, one meal per day, and psychoeducation. At Renfrew, clients can build connections with others who understand what they are going through. Treatment is tailored to each person, taking into account related concerns such as trauma and substance use disorders. All three outpatient options may be provided virtually to support clients’ convenience.
