About Fairview Treatment Center

Located in Bayou Vista close to Morgan City, this residential treatment program supports adults who are working to overcome long-term alcohol and drug dependence in a secure, organized environment. The center offers two care pathways: medically supervised detox and a 30-day inpatient rehabilitation program. Guided by the idea that healing is always within reach, the program is designed for individuals at higher risk, providing continuous medical oversight, empathetic staff support, and a clear focus on sustainable recovery.

Treatment is tailored for each person through a combination of proven clinical methods and complementary approaches. The clinical team incorporates motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based relapse prevention, one-on-one counseling, and group therapy to address substance use and related mental health challenges, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, anger, and depression. Weekly art therapy supports clients in processing experiences creatively, and optional spiritual counseling from local clergy helps participants strengthen their sense of purpose and personal beliefs.

Women and men are housed separately in gender-specific units, with 10 detox beds and 43 beds for the rehab program. The daily routine is carefully structured and includes group programming, individual sessions, periods for rest, and planned recreation. Tobacco use is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, and help with quitting is available. Clients also receive case management, family counseling, and discharge planning for aftercare, helping them continue their recovery journey beyond the program. Staff meet each client with respect and dignity, using a personalized approach aimed at supporting long-term sobriety.
