About The Healing Place - Women's Campus

The Healing Place is a nonprofit organization focused on helping adults overcome substance use disorders. It began as a homeless shelter and medical clinic for men, and over time grew into a recovery center known across the country, providing services free of charge to almost 1,000 men and women each day. The organization follows a peer-led social model built around empowerment and mutual community support, with the goal of reducing obstacles to recovery for women.

The Healing Place provides a complete range of services, including non-medical detox, long-term residential treatment, and transitional housing for individuals who have finished a residential program. Its main long-term offering is structured in phases: detox, an intensive peer-driven recovery component, and follow-up continuing care. The women’s campus delivers gender-responsive addiction treatment and is based in Louisville, Kentucky.
