About Home of the Innocents
Home of the Innocents provides full-spectrum support to children, teenagers, young adults, and families dealing with emotional and psychological difficulties as well as substance use. The center works with children who have survived abuse, neglect, or abandonment, including those whose situations involve complicated medical requirements. Care is offered in several formats, such as residential programs, emergency shelter, and community-based services, guided by research-backed approaches.
The program is designed to encourage recovery and personal development through a range of therapeutic services that strengthen overall well-being. Residents and families can access individual and family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused therapies aimed at helping children understand and manage their emotions and navigate challenging experiences. Multisystemic therapy (MST) is delivered through a family-centered, home-based model that helps caregivers learn how trauma affects behavior and supports the healing process. The center also offers physical, occupational, speech, and aquatic therapies to build everyday abilities and improve communication.
Children who live at Home of the Innocents receive around-the-clock supervision in its residential settings. Meals are provided, and on-site schooling is available. The campus includes an aquatic therapy facility and covers a wide area, including a children’s village. For young adults, the center also supports preparation for independent living and helps them make the transition into the surrounding community.
