About Recovery Works Georgetown

Recovery Works rehabilitation center sits on 10 acres of land in a peaceful rural area. With a calm, healing atmosphere, clients are able to feel secure and comfortable throughout the recovery process, supported by on-site chefs, outdoor sports facilities, and separate housing by gender.

At Recovery Works, treatment plans are uniquely customized to help people rebuild stability in many areas of life. The detox program includes medical oversight to manage the difficult and sometimes risky drug and alcohol withdrawal process. Depending on clinical needs, detox may also involve medication-assisted treatment (MAT), using approved medications to reduce withdrawal discomfort. For clients who require the highest level of support, the residential program offers individual, family, and group therapy, combined with a range of additional evidence-based approaches. As clients reach the residential goals they set together with the treatment team, they transition to a lower level of care. The next step is the partial hospitalization program (PHP), which provides inpatient-level treatment while still enabling clients to return home to meet responsibilities. An intensive outpatient program (IOP) continues the work begun in residential care, offering similar services but with a reduced time commitment each week.

Recovery Works also offers alumni aftercare designed to provide ongoing peer and community support, along with case-management assistance. Graduates can join monthly alumni group meetings at no additional cost. The Recovery Works app helps connect individuals immediately to the alumni community, giving them access to recovery support whenever they need it.

Treatment at Recovery Works blends multiple therapy styles to create a distinct plan for each person. Evidence-based interventions are paired with group involvement and individualized trauma-informed 1-on-1 therapy. Depending on goals, a plan may include gender-specific groups, identifying triggers, relapse prevention, coping skills, life skills development, and mindfulness or meditation practices. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) are among the most commonly used clinical modalities. Clients may also participate in hands-on, recovery-oriented activities such as music therapy, art therapy, and recreational therapy. In addition, Recovery Works hosts community support groups such as Medication Assisted Recovery Anonymous (MARA), along with spiritual options and meetings that do not follow the 12-Step model.
