About Bridges of Iowa

Bridges of Iowa offers long-term residential care for people working through substance use disorders. The center follows a structured, community-focused program designed to provide guidance for over a year. Residents benefit from individualized treatment plans that support their move from intensive services toward increased independence, including help in securing employment and rebuilding everyday life.

Recovery at Bridges is supported by both evidence-based and holistic therapies. The program blends group sessions, individual counseling, and peer-led options such as AA/NA. In addition, clients participate in wellness activities, community service, and skill-building programs. Together, these components strengthen long-term sobriety by meeting physical, mental, and social needs.

During their stay, clients can use supervised, supportive housing as part of the program. Living arrangements include shared rooms and communal spaces for meals and daily activities. The approach maintains consistent oversight while encouraging growth, including outdoor time and transportation assistance, to help residents prepare for a successful return to independent living.
