About Recovery Works

Recovery Works Morgan is a rehabilitation center for women located within Indiana University Health Morgan Medical Center. It is designed for women who are struggling with drug or alcohol addiction, particularly those who require a higher level of treatment. The program provides residential services, medical detox, and help for individuals coping with both substance use and mental health concerns, offered in a secure and compassionate setting.

The treatment approach combines clinical care with support for emotional recovery. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps participants identify and adjust unhelpful thinking patterns, while Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on managing intense emotions and strengthening interpersonal skills. Motivational Interviewing encourages each woman to clarify her own motivation for change. The center also incorporates trauma-informed care and life skills education to promote healing and to build practical abilities that support recovery long after leaving treatment—addressing health of both mind and body.

Women may take part in 12-Step meetings and SMART Recovery groups on-site. Weekly alumni gatherings and an active aftercare program help participants maintain momentum once they complete the program. With continuous supervision, individualized treatment plans, and dedicated support, Recovery Works Morgan provides the structure, guidance, and resources needed to support a lasting recovery.
