About Spark Recovery

Situated in the northern part of Indianapolis, Spark Recovery provides trauma-informed and evidence-based treatment paired with medication-assisted therapy (MAT) for individuals facing challenges related to substance use as well as concurrent mental health issues in an outpatient framework.

The center features a day treatment program that runs 5 days a week for 5 hours daily, serving as a potential alternative to or a step-down option from residential care. Participants are involved in group therapy, personal counseling, family sessions, and medication management. Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) allows for greater scheduling flexibility, including a 3-hour group session at least 3 times weekly, alongside individual counseling and family interactions. For those requiring less intensive care or looking for ongoing support, an outpatient group is available, meeting weekly for an hour.

Spark Recovery implements a diverse range of evidence-supported therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care (TIC), and motivational interviewing (MI). Clients also engage in expressive therapies, group discussions, family meetings, and psychoeducational sessions. Additionally, Spark Recovery incorporates both 12-Step and alternative programs into its offerings, including SMART Recovery and Celebrate Recovery as treatment choices.
