Based in lively Indianapolis, Resource Treatment Center offers residential care for adolescents, teens, and young adults ages 11–21 who face mood and behavioral health challenges. Its programs are designed for individuals dealing with emotional and behavioral concerns that call for a structured environment—often after difficulties that disrupt home life or school performance, or involvement with the juvenile justice system.
The treatment model at Resource is organized into four distinct phases: Identify, Connect, Demonstrate, and Contribute. Across these stages, residents participate in individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
At the start of the program, residents partner with staff to better understand what led to their admission and the goals for treatment. Next, as residents develop new tools, they learn how to apply those skills in real-life situations. During the following phase, residents begin putting the newly learned skills into practice on a more consistent basis. In the final phase, residents focus on giving back to the community by using those skills through positive, prosocial activities.
Resource Treatment Center also provides on-site education accredited by the Indianapolis Public School System. Instruction is delivered by certified special education teachers and runs for three hours per day. Students can choose between credit recovery and GED preparation. The center accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by Indiana. If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
Resource Residential Treatment Center did not report which payment types it accepts. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your Indiana Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
