About LifeStance Health Indianapolis 56th Street

LifeStance Health operates across multiple locations and provides access to a national team of licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, and nurse practitioners. Services are available through both in-person and private virtual therapy to support people dealing with a wide range of mental health and substance use conditions. The center treats issues such as mental illness, process addictions, grief and major life changes, postpartum depression, and more. It also offers transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), a clinical option typically considered for patients who do not experience improvement with other therapies or medications for depression.

At LifeStance, clients work with highly rated clinicians who specialize in many mental health needs and create individualized treatment plans for adults, adolescents, and children. Care is offered for conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Services also address addiction concerns involving drugs or alcohol, as well as process addictions such as eating disorders and hoarding. Additional support is available for school avoidance in adolescents. The center provides gender-specific and specialty programs, including help with men’s or women’s concerns, pain-related issues, somatoform disorders, psychosis, postpartum depression or anxiety, couples counseling, grief, insomnia, and behavioral concerns in children.

Treatment at LifeStance is guided by a multidisciplinary team of board-certified professionals and social workers who collaborate to coordinate care. Plans may include evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, solution-focused therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Depending on the client’s needs, other research-supported methods like narrative therapy and play therapy may be used, particularly for children and adolescents.

Depending on goals and clinical requirements, patients and families can access adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry or therapy, and group or family therapy. LifeStance also supports new parents who are navigating life transitions, mental health challenges, or sleep difficulties. Beyond therapy, the center provides neuropsychological testing, psychological testing, and evaluations. Full mental health services are offered Monday through Friday, five days per week, with options for both virtual and in-person care. LifeStance Health accepts most major insurance plans.
