About Farrington Specialty Centers Indianapolis

Farrington Specialty Centers Indianapolis provides care for adults and adolescents ages 14 and older dealing with anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), binge eating disorder (BED), avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), other specified eating disorder (OSFED), rumination, compulsive exercise, and related eating and body image challenges. The center offers outpatient services, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization (PHP). Treatment plans are evidence-based, individualized, and trauma-informed, and they use a weight-inclusive approach.

Farrington’s partial hospitalization program, called Neossia, runs 5 days per week for 7.5 hours each day. It is designed for people who are medically stable but need a higher level of structure and support. The program includes daily therapy and nutrition groups, individual meetings about twice a week with a therapist and dietitian, as well as weekly check-ins with medical and psychiatric providers. Clients also participate in experiential therapies such as yoga, dance, and movement. PHP is available for as long as it is needed.

The IOP is offered 3 days per week for approximately 3 hours per day, typically for 6 to 8 weeks. Programming includes daily therapy groups, weekly nutrition groups, a family day, practical nutrition counseling with skill-building, and experiential activities.

For traditional outpatient care, sessions are available one-on-one, in groups, and with family involvement. Farrington adjusts the scheduling of outpatient appointments based on each person’s specific clinical needs and can vary the frequency accordingly.

The center also offers optional add-on art therapy. Art therapy is provided in a group format for 6 weeks. Groups are organized according to participants’ therapeutic goals, concerns, and their experience level with art therapy.
