About Gateway Foundation

Gateway at Springfield provides outpatient addiction recovery for adults and focuses on delivering effective care through a flexible treatment plan. Services are available both through in-person sessions and virtual outpatient programming. In addition, the Gateway Foundation offers an online outpatient option for adolescents, giving teens and their families tools to better understand substance use and take early steps toward recovery. At Gateway Springfield, each program is tailored to the goals and circumstances of the person in care. Outpatient participants typically work through an evidence-based curriculum that may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), mindfulness-based approaches, trauma-informed care, DUI education, and dual-diagnosis treatment for individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions.

Since 1968, Gateway Foundation has supported thousands of people in breaking free from addiction. Today, it operates more than 16 centers and is recognized as one of the leading addiction treatment providers in Illinois. Gateway Foundation is accredited by the Joint Commission and works with many major insurance plans.
