About Existential Counselors Society

Existential Counselors Society (ECSIRC) supports men who are dealing with substance use and mental health concerns that occur at the same time, providing an environment where encouragement and recovery are at the center of care. The center’s structured residential program includes comfortable shared accommodations and shared areas for community, all guided by a mission focused on helping men regain strength, rebuild their lives, and grow.

ECSIRC combines several evidence-based therapeutic methods to support lasting change. The clinical team prioritizes existential psychotherapy, encouraging clients to examine purpose and meaning, while also incorporating SMART Recovery, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), life skills instruction, and relapse-prevention planning. Together, these strategies help participants gain insight, better handle cravings, and create a path toward greater stability and a more satisfying future.
