About Lincoln Park Therapy Group

Lincoln Park Therapy Group (LPTG) is a private, boutique therapy practice that delivers a solution-focused, strengths-based 1:1 approach tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. The team of experienced therapists works with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and related challenges; relationship and marital difficulties; life transitions; trauma and conditions such as PTSD; emotional regulation; performance and overall life balance; self-esteem and self-worth; and grief and loss. In addition, professionals at Lincoln Park Therapy Group provide support for neurodiversity/ADHD, LGBTQ+ clients, and people in helping professions, including teens, adolescents, and young adults.

LPTG commonly supports clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, anger management, bipolar disorder, family conflict, grief, peer relationship issues, sexual abuse, and practical coping skills. Services are designed to help people work through particular situations, including quarter-life crisis therapy for individuals in their 20s and 30s who are experiencing high stress or anxiety while navigating adulthood, college, and major life changes. They also offer help with performance-related concerns, school or work pressures, and adjustments that affect life balance, as well as stressors that may be specific to LGBTQ+ clients, men, or women.

LGBTQ+ support often includes guidance with self-acceptance, managing family conflict, addressing relationship struggles, building stress-management strategies, and coping with depression or anxiety that may be connected to these experiences.

For clients working in high-stress roles such as therapists, social workers, nurses, first responders, teachers, and similar professions, LPTG addresses issues like compassion fatigue and burnout.

For teens and adolescents, therapy is provided in a secure, confidential setting, with help developing communication skills, healthy coping tools, self-awareness, problem-solving, boundaries, critical thinking, and emotional regulation.

Trauma-focused treatment for trauma and PTSD may include EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and cognitive processing therapy, a CBT-based approach that examines how traumatic experiences shape thoughts and beliefs.

For neurodiversity, therapy focuses on learning to manage symptoms, build effective coping strategies, and recognize personal strengths and abilities.

Couples therapy at Lincoln Park Therapy Group follows a non-blaming framework to help partners break cycles of repeated conflict, heal emotional wounds, deepen understanding, and create a sense of safety and accessibility with one another. Premarital and marital counseling can address betrayal or infidelity, intimacy concerns, parenting disagreements, long-term goals and financial differences, communication problems, emotional distance, and feelings of disconnection.

Families receive support aimed at reducing overall stress and improving communication, particularly during challenging transitions such as changes in family structure, a child’s move into adolescence, “failure to launch,” and other distinctive family circumstances.

Lincoln Park Therapy Group also serves as a facilitator for Daring Way, an experiential program grounded in Dr. Brené Brown’s research, emphasizing shame resilience and daily practices that support meaningful, lasting change.
