Willingway Treatment Center celebrated 50 years of uninterrupted care. The center focuses on treatment for substance misuse and offers a wide variety of programs. Services include medical detoxification, short-term and long-term residential treatment, extended care, outpatient treatment, a program for veterans, a teen track for ages 14–28, and a 5-day family program. The residential option at Willingway may continue for as long as six weeks. Inpatient care gives clients a strong chance to practice new ways to live without mood-altering medications. While on site, individuals take part in multiple therapy options such as individual counseling, family counseling, 12-Step facilitation, group therapy, and relapse prevention.
For those who select extended treatment, Willingway places clients in gender-specific residences across Statesboro, Georgia. These homes are designed to create a stable, structured atmosphere where people can strengthen sober living skills step by step. The family program supports recovery by bringing clients’ loved ones into the process and giving them a pathway toward healing. Willingway also offers aftercare. After residential treatment, clients may join weekly support groups in 13 locations across the southeastern region. Throughout the process, all clients receive guidance and encouragement from staff and peers who have walked the recovery journey and can share experience, strength, and hope.
The Willingway campus covers 11 acres. Surrounded by woods and featuring an on-site pond, the setting is calm and welcoming for both clients and their families. The main campus is situated on Lake Raymond. Clients can fish in a stocked duck pond, and there are quiet wooded paths for walking. The facility includes private rooms as well as spacious shared areas, and clients can use the on-site pool and modern fitness center.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by Georgia (this facility reports accreditation). If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
Willingway did not report which payment types it accepts. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your Georgia Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
