Based in Kissimmee, this residential reentry center is one of The Transition House’s recovery programs for adults moving from incarceration, homelessness, or substance use toward stability. The initiative blends help with substance use recovery, mental health services, job readiness training, and housing assistance so participants can rebuild their lives. Through counseling, life skills instruction, and referrals to community resources, the staff work to support self-sufficiency while emphasizing dignity and personal purpose.
Residents follow a structured, evidence-based routine. The center provides individual and group counseling, trauma-informed therapeutic services, medication management, and ongoing coaching. Participants also receive support for job training, preparation for a high school diploma through basic education, development of trade skills, and emotional recovery supported by peer mentoring. This coordinated approach is designed to strengthen stability across mental, emotional, and financial areas.
The program includes a comprehensive residential setting with 24/7 assistance. Residents are provided with nutritious meals, access to case managers, and support in securing permanent housing and improving financial literacy. Eligible veterans may receive expanded housing and career services through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. Ongoing connection to outpatient care is supported through Inspire Counseling, helping residents maintain long-term wellness after the program ends.
