About Recovery First Treatment Center

Located in downtown Hollywood on Florida’s east coast, Recovery First Treatment Center provides residential treatment for substance use disorders and addiction, along with care for co-occurring mental health conditions. The adult programs use proven, evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and family therapy. In addition, Recovery First blends traditional clinical services with holistic options, including art therapy and mindfulness-focused activities.

The center’s clinical team supports people facing co-occurring issues like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Recovery First follows a well-rounded model that combines evidence-based care, holistic or alternative therapies, and peer-based resources such as 12-Step programs and SMART Recovery.

Recovery First Treatment Center also offers specialized pathways for Veterans, first responders, and impaired professionals. These programs are tailored to challenges common to each group, including PTSD, grief and loss, work-life balance, and long-term chronic stress. Ongoing re-entry support is available to help clients transition back to everyday life, including step-down continuing care and group aftercare. The center further provides targeted therapy for individuals dealing with sexual trauma and domestic trauma.

Clients stay in a 28-bed, apartment-style setting in downtown Hollywood, Florida. During treatment, they can take part in local outings, use an on-site fitness center, and enjoy a game room and other recreational activities. Recovery First Treatment Center is Joint Commission accredited and works with many health insurance plans.
