About Heroes Mile
Heroes’ Mile is a program exclusively for veterans that provides treatment for substance use disorder through both inpatient and outpatient options. The center uses evidence-based approaches, including group counseling, individual 1-on-1 sessions, recreational therapy, family and marriage counseling, and nutrition education, among other services. Heroes’ Mile focuses on the effects of PTS and MST that many service members experience. Clients receive help for a range of challenges such as addiction to drugs and alcohol, PTSD, and military sexual trauma. The program also hosts 12 Step meetings and provides support and counseling for clients’ family members. Recreational options may include art therapy, equine therapy, and structured fitness activities.
Heroes’ Mile is located on 10 acres of secluded, nature-oriented property. The campus includes private and shared bedrooms, outdoor lounge areas, a picturesque pond setting, and sports facilities such as a basketball court and a volleyball court. Heroes' Mile is Joint Commission accredited and works with both private and public insurance plans.
