About Suncoast Behavioral Health Center

This center offers residential psychiatric treatment for children and adolescents aged 5–17, helping young people dealing with emotional and behavioral challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and self-harm. Residents receive round-the-clock support in a well-organized environment that focuses on developing coping and life skills for a smoother transition back to everyday routines.

A multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and counselors provides a combination of individual, group, and family therapy. Sessions are designed to strengthen emotional regulation and communication, while also targeting symptoms connected to trauma, mood, and thought-related conditions. In addition, the center provides an adolescent intensive outpatient program, offered both online and onsite, to support continued progress following inpatient care.

Children and teens stay in a safe, age-appropriate hospital setting with predictable daily schedules, meals, and recreational time. On campus, residents can use indoor and outdoor common areas, enjoy a basketball court, and play table tennis. The center encourages questions about treatment options, openings, and the next steps for beginning care.
