About Wellness Resource Center

Wellness Resource Center is a private rehab facility in Boca Raton, Florida, with more than 29 years of experience. The center provides caring support for people dealing with substance use disorders, behavioral/process addictions, and mental health conditions that occur alongside addiction. Services include structured day treatment and intensive outpatient options, and clients may also have access to supportive housing.

The treatment approach at Wellness Resource Center emphasizes the 12 Steps along with both holistic and evidence-based methods. Recovery is organized into two transition phases. Phase 1 is a day treatment program, also referred to as partial hospitalization, delivered in weekly 7-day schedules. Clients are housed in apartment-style residences designed to be safe and free from substances. Programming runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Throughout Phase 1, clients regularly connect with the center’s medical director, psychiatrist, full-time nursing staff, and primary therapist. In Phase 2, clients move into intensive outpatient care, with evening groups held Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. During this stage, clients may remain in on-site housing, transition housing, or return to living at home.

The clinical team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, nutritionists, and social workers. Clients benefit from a combination of evidence-based and holistic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), 12-Step facilitation, equine therapy, experiential group programming, and nutritional support. Psychoeducational groups and topics often address practical life skills, relapse prevention, and anger management. The duration a client stays in each phase is individualized and can be adjusted based on clinical recommendations and personal needs.

Wellness Resource Center also promotes family participation in the recovery journey. The family program brings loved ones to the facility for a weekend that includes educational groups and therapy sessions. When a family member cannot attend, primary therapists can offer family therapy either in person or by phone. In addition, the center offers community housing in a peaceful neighborhood near Florida’s white sandy beaches, with resort-style features such as a heated pool, common areas, a recreation room, and an outdoor lounge.
