About Sunlight Recovery
Sunlight Recovery brings together a team of seasoned specialists who help people overcome addiction and manage co-occurring mental health challenges in sunny southern Florida. The center offers several levels of support, including medically supervised detox, residential programs, and sober living homes across the region. Sunlight Recovery also includes access to psychiatric services, group therapy, and a wellness facility to support a well-rounded approach to treatment. In both structured individual and group sessions, clients learn to recognize patterns in their behavior and understand the factors that may contribute to relapse. Throughout the program, they practice the coping strategies and recovery skills they develop, building greater independence and self-sufficiency.
Along with therapy, Sunlight Recovery focuses on practical life skills that support long-term stability, such as managing a budget, searching for employment, cooking meals, planning grocery shopping, staying active through exercise, and choosing healthy ways to spend leisure time. Family involvement is treated as an essential part of the healing process, with education and guidance provided so loved ones can better understand addiction and form a strong support system that improves outcomes for the whole family.
Sunlight Recovery is located only about 3 miles from the beach, offering a calm setting where clients can concentrate fully on their recovery. The sober living residences are also located just a few blocks from the main campus. Each home features private rooms and a supportive setting that helps residents develop the tools they need while following the 12-Step philosophy.
