About REACH Adult and Youth Services

Bridgeport Hospital’s REACH Program in Connecticut provides help to children, teens, and adults dealing with mental health difficulties and related co-occurring conditions. The center delivers intensive outpatient services, such as medication management, group counseling, and structured aftercare planning. This support is designed to help participants stay out of the hospital and regain stability, particularly after a recent inpatient stay.

Group-based therapy within the program strengthens coping strategies and supports healthier social relationships. The program also offers targeted care for mood disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, and substance use concerns. A dedicated team of professionals, including physicians and nurses, works closely with clients in a supportive environment to help them work toward individual goals.

REACH additionally offers family support for children and adolescents ages 5 to 17 through weekly parent group meetings. The focus is on strengthening family connections and reducing the likelihood of residential placement. The Bridge2Care program provides ongoing medication management for young people and adults transitioning from intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Referrals are accepted from many sources, including self and family referrals, and services are covered by major insurance plans.
