About Clearview Outpatient - Woodland Hills

Clearview Outpatient in Woodland Hills offers supportive, full-scope mental health treatment for adults facing a range of challenges, including co-occurring disorders and secondary addiction. Located just minutes from major freeways, it provides convenient access to the San Fernando Valley as well as nearby communities like Calabasas and Malibu. Board-certified psychiatrists begin with thorough initial assessments and guide care, while licensed, experienced clinicians deliver services through evidence-based approaches. Clearview combines proven clinical methods with hands-on, experiential strategies to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs.

Adults dealing with severe and long-lasting mental illness can receive structured, personalized psychotherapy for many mental health concerns and related co-occurring conditions. Clearview Outpatient uses a multimodality model that includes individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and psychiatric care. The center treats a variety of issues such as secondary substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, borderline and other personality disorders, trauma-related concerns and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, as well as co-occurring autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Clearview provides three outpatient options: a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), available in both daytime and evening formats. The PHP is the most intensive level of outpatient care and often matches the structure and focus of residential treatment while allowing clients to continue living at home. PHP participants attend programming 5 days a week for about 6 hours per day, including individual, group, and family therapy. This level is designed for clients experiencing symptoms such as persistent depression or anxiety, reduced interest in usual activities, social withdrawal, behavioral difficulties, and psychiatric conditions that may include risk of self-harm.

The IOP at Clearview is designed for people who need more support than traditional outpatient care but do not require residential treatment. It offers an organized structure to help clients manage distressing symptoms and behaviors that interfere with daily life, building a strong foundation for recovery and preparing for ongoing community-based treatment. Clients typically attend 3 to 5 days per week for roughly 3 hours per day, based on their individualized needs. Clearview also offers an evening IOP for those who cannot attend during the day due to work or school.

Therapeutic groups and programs are led by licensed and certified clinicians and may include process-focused therapy, psychoeducational interventions, and experiential approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Programming may also include conflict resolution and healthy relationship groups, creative writing, self-esteem development groups, and expressive arts therapy.
