About Insight

Insight treatment program focuses on assisting adolescents between the ages of 13 and 19 who are dealing with mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and ADHD. Additionally, Insight addresses behavioral concerns like self-harm, addiction, aggression, and social withdrawal. This center not only offers assistance to teens but also supports their families. They provide an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that allows teens to continue their education while living at home. The IOP is facilitated in a creative clubhouse setting where teens can engage in games, feel at ease, and cultivate positive relationships with fellow participants. Insight employs a multi-faceted therapeutic approach aimed at fostering personal growth and essential life skills among teens. After school, participants engage in 3-4 hours of rigorous therapy, which may encompass cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), art therapy, gestalt therapy, 12-Step facilitation, mindfulness, and family counseling. In response to the challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, Insight has acknowledged the increased feelings of isolation and resistance among teens, hence they are now providing complimentary online resources and virtual meetings for parents and selected private schools. Mental health professionals are on hand to offer assistance, including two-hour telehealth support sessions for parents. Insight operates five locations in the Los Angeles, California area, each designed to create an enjoyable environment for teens. Many of the centers are repurposed warehouses equipped with video games, foosball, ping pong tables, and fitness areas. Insight holds CARF accreditation and accepts a majority of private insurance plans.
