About Riverside University - San Jacinto Children's Outpatient Clinic

Operating across the Inland Empire, the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is a broad healthcare organization that provides services for adults and children, including outpatient treatment for mental health conditions. RUHS is recognized and approved by both the Joint Commission and CARF.

RUHS services at the San Jacinto Children's Outpatient Clinic are designed for children, serving both boys and girls. A key focus is early intervention, supported by programs such as Set-4-School, which serves children ages 0–5 and highlights how important it is to strengthen development at the earliest stages. RUHS also offers home-based visits for clients.

To help families get care more easily, RUHS provides language support across its programs, including interpretation in American Sign Language (ASL). Children up to age 5 may attend treatment together with their parents or legal guardians. RUHS locations, including the Hemet Family Care Center, are wheelchair accessible.

RUHS follows a “whatever-it-takes” approach, tailoring care to each person’s needs. This may involve therapy, help with housing, and training in everyday living skills to support stability and long-term recovery. Treatment can include medication support, multidimensional family therapy (MDFT), and coordination with primary care providers so each client receives appropriate care.

Aftercare and ongoing access to treatment information are supported through the MyChart app, which allows clients to view their care notes during and after treatment.
