About HealthRIGHT 360

HealthRIGHT360 runs more than 50 programs across 11 counties in California, delivering full-spectrum care for a wide range of individuals and families dealing with substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and related co-occurring conditions. The Prototypes Outpatient Behavioral Health center, called the “prototype” because other providers model their services after it, works to build healthier families and stronger communities.

At Prototypes, treatment for substance misuse is designed for adults 18 and older and is based on evidence-based practices. Clients can access standard outpatient care as well as an intensive outpatient program (IOP). The program combines individual sessions, group therapy, and family involvement in a structured, encouraging setting. Pregnant women receive a dedicated treatment track. The center also uses a holistic strategy that includes medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for people with dependencies involving alcohol or opioids. Support services for addiction and co-occurring mental health needs may include relapse prevention, 12-Step facilitation, and trauma-informed care.

Prototypes provides outpatient mental health services for men, women, and children with primary mental health concerns. Programming may include prevention and early intervention, as well as intensive services for individuals facing severe or long-term conditions. In addition to individual, group, and family therapy, clients may receive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, case management, coordination with primary healthcare providers, and referrals as appropriate.

Outpatient mental health support is also available for children from birth through age 20, with an emphasis on strengthening families and promoting a healthy, substance-free lifestyle. Services include parenting education and therapeutic interventions intended to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect. The center focuses particularly on families with active child welfare involvement, as well as families with adults who are navigating criminal or family court systems.

Prototypes Outpatient Behavioral Health is a non-profit organization that serves low-income clients and families who have state Medicaid coverage. It is CARF accredited and has special expertise in serving people experiencing homelessness, individuals on parole, women with children, and youth and young adults, with services offered since 1967.
