Pure Recovery is known for using advanced neuroscience alongside whole-person, holistic care. The center supports both men and women dealing with alcohol and drug addiction, chronic pain, dual diagnosis, mild traumatic brain injury, depression, and anxiety. Pure Recovery California is the first Joint Commission accredited, neuroscience-based treatment facility in the United States. Their full, research-informed program merges 360-degree wellness practices with training aimed at strengthening positive neuroplasticity, helping to restore balance in neurotransmitters and overall brain chemistry. Treatment may also draw on individualized genetic insights related to drug metabolism, as well as regenerative medicine strategies for chronic pain. In addition, the program incorporates therapeutic psychology, support for lifestyle change, spiritual alignment, and approaches used for reward deficiency syndrome (RDS). Services commonly include group and one-on-one therapy, neurofeedback, acupuncture, massage, nutrition planning, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic experiencing. Clients are encouraged to participate in AA and NA meetings, along with SMART Recovery. Pure Recovery also provides a water-taxi option that transports clients daily to and from meetings. The center offers an executive-focused track as well as a program tailored for professional athletes, and they accept most major insurance plans.
Pure Recovery provides a private recovery environment. Set near the Pacific Ocean, clients can enjoy uninterrupted views of the waves. Two residential properties are located along the Channel Islands waterway for clients’ use and comfort. The Channel Island Center is a dockside home designed for men and women, offering four private and semi-private bedrooms and four bathrooms. The Seabridge Center is another dockside residence with five private and semi-private bedrooms and four bathrooms. Both homes include a family media room, living and dining areas, a gourmet kitchen, two balconies, and ocean views from every suite. Additional amenities include a boat dock with water-taxi access, a heated swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and a private gym. Pure Recovery California also offers daily maid service.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by California (this facility reports accreditation). If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
Pure Recovery California did not report which payment types it accepts. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your California Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
