About Teen Challenge of East Bay Inc
Teen Challenge Alpha Henson provides long-term recovery for adult men, ages 18 and above, in a calm setting on a 20-acre campus. The residential program, lasting 12 to 18 months, is designed to help participants work through substance use issues, anger, and difficult behaviors. Support is offered across the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual areas to encourage lasting transformation.
A key part of the approach is a faith-based curriculum that connects biblical principles with everyday life. Through regular mentoring, vocational training, and a structured daily schedule, men can strengthen their emotional well-being and deepen their spiritual growth. They participate in work-study assignments, take part in gardening, and serve others through church involvement and community clean-ups. Planned activities, such as attending concerts, also support confidence, help men find purpose, and reinforce a renewed feeling of belonging.
