Magnolia Women’s Recovery Programs Oakland offers a trauma-informed residential program for pregnant women, postpartum mothers, and women parenting children under age 7. Participants stay at the center for 90 to 120 days, based on individual goals, and take part in structured, full-day programming designed to support recovery from substance use while strengthening emotional and mental well-being. The program includes individual and group therapy every day, relapse prevention planning, parenting education, and training focused on domestic violence. Clients also take part in creative, expressive therapies such as journaling and art to support healing on a deeper level. A structured three-stage approach guides residents as they work through traumatic experiences, develop confidence and self-worth, and rebuild their identity, sense of love, and personal purpose. At Magnolia, residents value daily routines like preparing their own meals and caring for their living areas, which reinforce responsibility and pride. With no cell phone distractions, women can remain focused on recovery. The smoke-free, women-only setting provides a calm and secure atmosphere for trauma treatment. After completing the program, graduates receive support in finding stable housing and employment to help sustain long-term independence.
