About Ocean Recovery

Since 2002, Ocean Recovery has supported people struggling with addiction, co-occurring mental health conditions, and eating disorders using treatment plans tailored to gender-specific needs. The center maintains a 1-to-1 staff-to-client ratio to develop highly individualized care. Services include a residential program, a 90-day extended-care option, a Day Treatment program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Their eating disorder program is designed to promote a healthier relationship with food, combining therapy with nutrition education and counseling. Clients are also taught practical coping strategies to help them manage and recover from substance use disorders.

Ocean Recovery incorporates hands-on, experiential therapies such as learning to surf and paddle boarding. Meals are built around balanced nutrition, prepared with local ingredients, including produce and locally sourced seafood. Housing is separated by gender, with the men’s residence at Oceanside and the women’s residence at Surfside. The setting is meant to feel calm and restorative. Located within walking distance of the Pacific Ocean, the apartment-style accommodations include comfortable living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and scenic ocean views from the patios. For insurance verification, prospective clients are asked to call the center.
