About Paradigm Treatment Centers

Since its establishment in 2010, Paradigm Treatment has specialized in residential care for adolescents aged 12-17 dealing with mental health challenges. The center’s skilled medical and clinical personnel make it a priority to uncover the underlying issues contributing to the difficulties faced by today’s youth. They collaborate closely with both individuals and their families to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, mood and personality disorders, as well as co-occurring substance abuse problems. Notably, Paradigm Treatment offers four individual therapy sessions each week, in addition to regular group and family therapies. Their academic coordinators focus on educational needs to help students continue their studies following treatment. Moreover, experiential therapies such as yoga, meditation, and equine therapy enable clients to enhance their personal transformation. Paradigm Treatment works with a range of commercial insurance providers and is accredited by The Joint Commission, also partnering with networks like Anthem.

With four picturesque locations in Malibu, Paradigm provides a welcoming environment for teens while ensuring they receive exceptional clinical and therapeutic care necessary for their recovery. Being only a few blocks from the ocean allows for beach outings and leisurely walks in the sand. Each house accommodates no more than six clients at a time, ensuring a highly personalized level of attention that facilitates introspection and healing. The mission at Paradigm is to identify the fundamental causes of mental health disorders, starting with comprehensive psychological, physical, and nutritional evaluations. The dedicated and accredited staff guide teens and young adults through various mental health challenges and mild to moderate substance use disorders with professionalism and empathy.

Paradigm's program lasts between 30 to 90 days, providing clients adequate time to heal before they transition back to daily life post-treatment. To create a balance between clinical interventions and experiential learning, Paradigm features a wide range of on and off-site activities, including swimming, surfing, horseback riding, and access to a hot tub, among others. During the academic year, collaboration with home schools helps ensure educational continuity, with three hours allocated for schooling five days each week.

Those participating in Paradigm's program benefit from an impressive array of amenities and specialized care. The individualized, strengths-based treatment approach offers each teen or young adult the best opportunity for success, empowering them to choose recovery and pursue healing. In addition, clients and their families have access to aftercare services for three years post-treatment, supporting the integration of healing and recovery into their lives.
