Teen Project Freehab is a non-profit residential treatment program at Carol’s Sanctuary in Van Nuys that assists young women ages 18 to 26 who are working to recover from substance use. The center offers stable, supportive housing along with medical detox based on the social model, individual and group counseling, and focused personal development within a safe, structured setting. The goal is to help residents restore balance and begin rebuilding their lives.
Teen Project Freehab supports each client as she develops a more independent future through therapy, educational opportunities, relapse prevention planning, life-skills coaching, and job training in a caring environment. Participants work closely with a therapist and case manager and attend about 30 hours per week of individual and group sessions.
Residents stay in a clean, drug-free home where they receive consistent encouragement and supervision. Along with treatment, they dedicate time each week toward earning a high school diploma or GED and join vocational programs to build practical work experience. Teen Project Freehab is more than a rehabilitation program—it’s a secure place to heal, grow, and prepare for what comes next.
