About Ogden House

Ogden House, located in downtown LA, offers men a calm, secure, and well-organized living space to help them break free from addiction and rebuild confidence, direction, and identity. The residence is managed by Sonny Duron, who previously worked for 27 years as a case manager supporting men with substance use issues before opening Ogden House. It represents the result of his long-term experience and understanding of the specific kind of structure and supportive home environment that people in recovery often need.

The facility has been recently renovated, features a clean, minimalist style, and receives plenty of natural light. Residents can use an on-site gym, and they also have access to an inviting BBQ area and outdoor lounge. While staying at Ogden House, men complete weekly drug screenings and attend weekly meetings with a life coach. Having a car is not required, since transportation is provided to and from 12 Step meetings as well as other errands and activities. Sonny also coordinates additional appointments when needed, including medical visits and therapy sessions. Just as importantly, he supports residents in connecting with the recovery community through healthy, prosocial engagement, with activities such as hiking, cycling, archery, museum visits, and sports encouraged.
