Clearview Outpatient in Los Angeles delivers thorough, empathetic support to adults dealing with a range of mental health challenges and personality disorders. It is the area’s only treatment provider specializing in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and it offers a full range of outpatient services, including an outpatient program (OP), partial hospitalization program (PHP), and intensive outpatient program (IOP). Initial assessments are completed by board-certified psychiatrists, who also supervise care. Day-to-day treatment is provided by licensed, experienced clinicians who are trained in evidence-based approaches. Clearview uses DBT through one-on-one therapy and structured skills groups, creating individualized care plans designed around each person’s specific needs.
Clearview provides two outpatient pathways: the partial hospitalization program (PHP) and the intensive outpatient program (IOP). Those enrolled in PHP attend programming five days a week for six hours each day, taking part in individual sessions, group therapy, and family therapy. PHP is intended for individuals who are experiencing significant symptoms, such as depression and anxiety, reduced interest in everyday activities, social withdrawal, behavioral difficulties, and psychiatric concerns, including risk of self-harm.
The IOP at Clearview offers a more structured option for people who have not responded well to standard or less intensive outpatient care. It supports clients whose symptoms and behaviors are causing serious disruption in daily life, helping them build a stable foundation for recovery and move toward ongoing community-based treatment. In the IOP, clients typically attend three to five days per week for three hours per day, based on their individual requirements.
At Clearview, licensed and certified clinicians facilitate groups and therapies grounded in DBT principles, including emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. In addition to its outpatient services, the Los Angeles center includes a residential six-bed treatment home, offering group-based residential therapy in a setting designed to feel close-knit and supportive, with groups kept small (no larger than nine).
