About Chabad of California
Located in Los Angeles, Chabad Treatment Center helps individuals move beyond substance abuse by strengthening their connection to the Jewish Torah and to the Jewish community. The center provides both inpatient and outpatient programs. Those in residential treatment can take part in individual and group therapy, spiritual guidance, recovery-focused counseling, educational and motivational groups, family therapy, prayer and meditation, 12-Step meetings, and chances to volunteer. Outpatient participants receive many of the same services as well. In addition, Chabad Treatment Center offers a range of experiential activities such as tai chi, fitness-based programming, beach outings, hiking, and art therapy. The center also includes sober living and aftercare. Graduates can access on-site sober living for up to three months. Alumni support continues after discharge through ongoing counseling, sober birthday and holiday events, alumni groups, and opportunities for networking.
Spirituality remains a central element of the program. Chabad serves people from all backgrounds and affiliations, with a commitment to supporting the spiritual needs of each client. Meals are Glatt kosher and Chalov Yisroel. The center’s Los Angeles location in the Miracle Mile area places it near parks, beaches, and shopping. Chabad Treatment Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts private insurance.
