About Beit T'Shuvah

Beit T’Shuvah is a live-in rehabilitation center for people struggling with substance addictions and gambling, operating within a Jewish, faith-centered setting. Their treatment model is integrative: clients receive support through addiction-focused counseling alongside spiritual guidance and psychotherapy, aimed at helping each person work through their challenges and move toward recovery. Care is tailored to the individual, with each client working with a treatment team and attending one hour of private counseling every week. Participation in the Beit T’Shuvah program also requires regular involvement in daily and community activities, including morning Torah study, attendance at all groups, Shabbat services, 12-Step meetings, participation in volunteer work, and completion of assigned daily responsibilities.

At Beit T’Shuvah, addiction is viewed as a condition that affects the whole family, and recovery is encouraged when loved ones are engaged. For this reason, the center offers a structured family program that provides education and ongoing support while a participant is in treatment. These services include a six-week educational series, a multi-family process group, an intensive three-day family immersion program, and family mentoring.

In addition, through the Beit T’Shuvah congregation, people in recovery may join creative and community-based activities such as the music program and the film department. These offerings give clients meaningful ways to channel their experiences, combining recovery, spirituality, and artistic expression. The music program features a band and choir that lead music during Shabbat services, while the film department allows participants to develop their filmmaking skills and work collaboratively with others.
