About AMFM Mental Health Treatment

AMFM Mental Health Treatment is a residential provider focused on integrated mental health care for adults, with an emphasis on primary treatment. The Laguna Hills facility is designed to feel welcoming and safe, offering individualized support and round-the-clock attention. AMFM follows a broad wellness philosophy, understanding that progress involves more than standard counseling and medication. The program is intentionally built around compassionate, research-informed care, strong therapeutic connections, and chef-prepared meals that are nutritious and satisfying. Every component is thoughtfully planned to create an atmosphere of comfort, structure, and careful attention to detail.

To guide treatment, AMFM conducts thorough evaluations that explore a client’s symptoms, personal history, current difficulties, and existing strengths. Using this information, the team develops plans tailored to each person’s needs. Services are available for primary mental health concerns as well as co-occurring conditions.

Programming includes 60 hours per week of clinical services. This may include medication management, several individual counseling sessions each week, weekly family therapy, and case management.

AMFM’s evidence-based, empathetic care targets the underlying drivers of mental health challenges and uses medication when it’s clinically appropriate. Licensed clinicians may provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other proven interventions. In addition, AMFM uniquely offers transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Clients meet weekly with a psychiatric provider for an individual session and also attend counseling sessions twice each week with a licensed counselor. Mindfulness is integrated throughout the program to strengthen the impact of evidence-based treatments. The curriculum also includes life skills training and psychoeducation.

Set in peaceful Laguna Hills, AMFM’s residential center creates a calm, home-like setting. Residents can choose private or semi-private accommodations, spend time in comfortable common areas, and access dedicated therapeutic spaces. The grounds include a scenic backyard with a relaxing porch. The center supports recovery through a holistic variety of therapies, such as somatic experiencing, psychodrama, art therapy, yoga, and expressive arts therapy. After residential treatment, AMFM continues with structured aftercare, including group therapy, family follow-up sessions, help with professional re-entry, and ongoing alumni activities to maintain continuity of support.
