About Chapa De Indian Health Program Inc

Chapa-De supports the health and well-being of American Indians, Alaska Native people, and low-income communities by providing a broad set of services. These include behavioral health care and treatment for substance use disorders. Through outpatient programs, Chapa-De offers psychiatry, mental health counseling, regular screenings, educational support, medication-assisted treatment, recovery groups, nurse case management, and connections to additional resources through referrals. For American Indians, all services at Chapa-De are provided at no cost.

For medication-assisted treatment, Chapa-De uses buprenorphine and naloxone, including Suboxone. Alongside MAT, they provide help for quitting smoking and provide information about medications that can support smoking cessation. Chapa-De also facilitates the Red Road to Recovery talking circle, grounded in Native teachings from Red Road to Wellbriety of the White Bison Recovery Movement. In addition, they run alcohol recovery groups based on the SMART Recovery approach.
