About North Coast Substance Abuse Council
Crossroads Women’s Facility by North Coast Substance Abuse Council provides residential treatment for adults facing substance use challenges. The program is state-licensed and has been in operation since 1975. Crossroads offers 3.1 ASAM level care in a warm, home-like atmosphere, and it works with Medi-Cal through Partnership HealthPlan of CA. When openings are available, the facility prioritizes quick, compassionate admissions.
The Crossroads approach relies on evidence-based strategies to promote lasting recovery. Each client works with staff to develop an individualized treatment plan and participates in structured group programs, including Moral Reconation Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Motivational Interviewing. Medication-assisted treatment may also be arranged through local providers, including options such as buprenorphine and methadone to support people dealing with opioid addiction.
The center is intentionally designed to feel like home rather than an institution. Staff members emphasize a respectful, welcoming environment that helps clients feel safe and supported. Expectations are grounded in practical common sense instead of strict, rigid rules, allowing clients to concentrate on healing while maintaining their dignity and personal identity.
