About North County Serenity House Women's

HealthRIGHT 360 delivers more than 50 programs across 11 counties in California, offering full-spectrum care for individuals and families dealing with substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and co-occurring conditions. Within their broader North County Serenity House Program, they run two related initiatives: residential services for women and a nearby transitional housing option with peer support, known as Serenity Village.

North County Serenity House works in partnership with Live Well San Diego. This center can serve up to 120 women at a time, mainly from the northern part of San Diego County, for recovery from drug addiction and mental health disorders. The approach includes supervised detox as well as trauma-informed, research-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

North County Serenity House also allows children under age 5, with the program able to accommodate up to 20 young children to live with participating clients.

Serenity Village consists of eight transitional homes for women, with space for children up to age 5. Each home features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and shared areas including a community kitchen, a dining area, and living spaces. Participants also receive peer support to help sustain recovery. Length of stay may extend up to two years, during which staff focus on preparing clients to reconnect with the community, including requiring self-sufficiency classes.

Rent is collected on a sliding scale according to the family’s household income.
