About McAlister Institute for Trt and Educ
McAlister Institute, founded in 1977, is a non-profit organization focused on delivering affordable, high-quality substance abuse treatment and recovery supports. South Bay Regional Recovery Center (SBRRC) is one of its outpatient programs and is based in Chula Vista, California. With more than four decades of experience, McAlister Institute helps over 13,000 people each year by offering an integrated continuum of care designed for individuals, families, and communities impacted by addiction.
The organization operates 24 programs that cover prevention, community outreach, intervention, outpatient services, residential treatment, aftercare, and sober living. Treatment may include individual and group counseling, individualized treatment planning, vocational training, mental health care, and targeted services for women, adolescents, and those involved with the justice system.
McAlister Institute accepts Medi-Cal and supports people who qualify to help them access its programs. It also offers intervention options such as family consultation and continued guidance, helping family members and loved ones connect with professional care for substance use disorders and related mental health conditions.
